Welsh's Woodwork

Hand-made individual recycled timber furniture pieces

Welcome to our world...

of beautiful recycled timber, made into unique, practical and lovely furnishings for your home.

Since 2001, Gerry Welsh has been finding and repurposing beautiful timbers. Most of the timbers used in these pieces are from the timbers known as Tasmanian Oak - Eucalyptus delegatensis, E. obliqua & E. regnans.

These mighty trees grow in Tasmania and parts of the southern Mainland of Australia, and have provided handsomely into the building and cabinetmaking industries for over a hundred years.

Take a look at the history of Gerry's work and of the woods he uses, and browse some of the fine furniture he makes - no two pieces exactly the same.

We're at Talbot Market!

Look for our distinctive presence - van, Jarrah the dog, Gerry the craftsman, and a nice selection of our lovely stuff. We're in the Town Hall - browse the Farmers Market and then come and visit!

Drop in on us at the Markets

We're at markets around Victoria three weekends out of four, most months - so you can come and lay hands on the furniture, signs and other items, admire Jarrah the Border Collie, and talk to us about dimensions, timings and delivery for your special item.

To check where we'll be, check out our Calendar.

This is how we look, when you're browsing around:
